Connecting with God and each other in small groups fosters deeper relationships, and the transforming power of the Spirit is experienced.
Journey Groups are small group gatherings, usually in the homes of members, where the opportunity is afforded for participants to develop deeper relationships with one another and experience the transforming power of the Spirit. A key element of the Brooks Avenue discipleship focus is this community experience in Journey Groups. Recognizing the need and power of community for spiritual formation, participants in Journey Groups discuss and apply Scripture, engage in spiritual conversation and person reflection, share needs, and pray. When Journey Group participants gather for spiritual conversation, they experience closeness with fellow believers, encourage one another, and deepen friendships. Table fellowship is enjoyed at Journey Group gatherings. Most Journey Groups occur on Sunday afternoons or evenings.

My wife and I had been worshipping at Sanford, but we and a couple other families from Sanford have moved to Brooks. We hav talked and we are interested I starting a Journey Group in Sanford. Would this be possible?
I talked the Bill Stuart about this after worship 10/18/20 and I intend to send a similar note to the elders for consideration.
