Members are encouraged to “do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share (I Timothy 6:18) that support our mission. We prioritize our collaborations to organizations and ministries affiliated with the church of Christ.
The message of Christ must go to people living in our community as well as throughout the world. Telling the full story of Christ, in a welcoming environment is our goal.
Our world missions program actively supports mission workers and programs in four continents and more than seven countries. These efforts include two schools of preaching, one orphanage and several gospel preachers. Individual members are active in Bible correspondence courses with students from numerous countries. Many of our members travel to foreign locations on short-term missions. We collaborate with an orphanage in Mexico named Ciudad de Angeles where mission and construction teams serve regularly.
Some domestic efforts include disaster relief and recovery efforts from natural disasters with the Church of Christ Disaster Response Effort and the Church of Christ Disaster Response Team. In addition, several members are active in a statewide foster care organization named AGAPE of N.C.. Our members serve on the Board of Directors, as foster parents, or as respite workers. There are also ample opportunities for persons with expertise in accounting, human resources, legal, and facilities to assist in support of the general operations of the church.
