Vibrant praise and worship is at the heart of body life at Brooks Avenue! A body is only as healthy as its heart. What’s true for the physical body is just as true for the body of Christ.
The Sunday assembly includes members actively leading and participating in every aspect of worship: praying, partaking of the Lord’s Supper, singing, offering of money, and preaching. Congregational prayers are offered, as well as small group prayers where any person within the assembly may go to pray or request prayer. The Lord’s Supper is a weekly communion, where emphasis is given to the remembrance of the sacrifice of Christ and his resurrection with the anticipation of His return. Congregational singing follows the a cappella tradition of churches of Christ. The offering is a time within the worship where Brooks Avenue members are invited to contribute their money to support various ministries and outreach efforts, such as the distribution of food and clothing to the needy in the community; AGAPE of NC to help with foster care and adoption of children and youth; spiritual nurturing and support to children and youth with special needs and their families; disaster relief; and ministry to persons with various additions. Preaching is rooted in scripture and rich in application to the life of the follower of Jesus.
Worship at Brooks Avenue is supported by a praise team (men and women who utilize their vocal gifts to support congregational singing), a technology team (audio and video support) and the Creative Arts Ministry (dramatic presentations, readings, video productions).

I know that God is still on the Thrown
I also know that there is a reason for all of this that we are going through. I pray that we will pray together again someday soon, we miss being together with the brothers and sisters of Christ. My heart goes out to all the ones that lost someone doing these times. May God Bless us all until we all meet again! Amen!
